Thread forming – The technology of the future

Thread forming is distinguished from machining processes by its higher thread reliability and tool life. Furthermore, higher circumferential speeds significantly increase the cost-effectiveness of this process. A prerequisite for using thread formers is a material elongation at break of at least 8% and a maximum tensile strength of up to 1400 N/mm². The modular HPF Max thread former has become an integral part of modern series production, particularly in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. Its long service life is based on a proven combination of a carbide substrate, a high-performance coating, and an optimized former geometry. The solid carbide FormMAX thread former consists of a newly developed fine-grained carbide with a specially optimized former geometry. To further enhance thread quality and tool life, the coated tool surface has undergone a special smoothing process.

Reaming — High-Precision Bore Finishing

When demands for bore drilling accuracy are rising—particularly in applications like cylinder bores, valve seats, or precision functional bores in pumps—the right reaming technology becomes essential. The EASYReam family offers a broad application range with full-carbide and modular reamers, available in through-coolant (internal coolant supply) configurations with either central or radial outlets.
