ACG Direct, Inc. Was founded in 2004 from the acquisition of a company formerly known as SKI Industries. The management team purchased the resources of this company as it was ceasing operations in late 2003. ACG Direct Inc., branded as "Automatic Components Group" was originally conceived as a parts distribution company... However, as market trends demanded, we grew into a full service re-builder, parts manufacturer, and general industrial goods distribution organization.
Our heritage as a design and build company with many decades of knowledge & experience paved the road to success for ACG... Through this journey, We have arrived as a leading provider of quality goods and services for the Screw Machine Industry. It has been a challenging and exciting journey observing ACG DIRECT evolve into a leader in the field of Screw Machine Technology. Year after year, ACG Direct continues to grow through the efforts of over 200 years of combined experience.

In 1985 SKI Industries, Inc. was formed from a company known as SKI Design, Inc. SKI Industries was established to create and service products in four main areas of industry. The range of expertise was focused on Mechanical Systems, Noise Control and Safety, Automatic Screw Machine Services, and Precision Products for a vast customer base across North America and Canada. The company experienced phenomenal growth throughout the mid 1990’s. Shortly after the year of 2000, the ownership merged to retirement and slowly ramped down to closure in 2003.
2008 was a substantial milestone for ACG Direct, Inc. The company had grown for over five years straight in a declining market and was now ready to settle into a permanent location. With strong success, ACG Direct had grown to fruition with a nimble company structure and strategy that provided us the ability to withstand the recession of 2008. While many companies failed, ACG Direct, Inc. evolved as one the industry leaders in the Screw Machine Service Industry. ACG Direct, Inc. is a success story that few others have realized. We have proven that through hard work and giving back to our community... the possibilities are endless!

In late 2003, the assets of SKI Industries were acquired by Anthony & Steven Colangelo and ACG Direct Inc. was formed in February of 2004. The company inherited a huge inventory of material consisting of repair parts, tooling, raw materials, intellectual property and other capital assets. ACG Direct started business in the existing SKI Plant 2 warehouse and operated out of 12,000 square feet building in Shelby Township Michigan until expanding to the current location in Fraser, Michigan.
